There is no more traditional an institution
than the cricket tea, enjoyed in between innings and intended to fortify
the players at the half-way point in the game. Over the years we have been
blessed with some of the very finest teas, prepared with pride and skill
by our tea ladies.
Sadly, over the years many of our ladies have moved on to pastures new, but a light-hearted tribute to them and their efforts appears here. These days, fine teas are prepared by Sarah Norton of The Eight Bells who prepares "doorstep" sandwiches with hand-carved ham and cakes to die for. Well worth a break in play!
