Another victory for Earls Colne & Bures. Batting first, Will Amos was quickly into his stride taking the score to 86 without loss off 19 overs in conjunction with fellow opener David Coyle. Much to the relief of the EAG fielders, Will's progress came to an abrupt halt at 55 when he picked out the fielder at long on with pinpoint accuracy. Caught! Subsequent batsmen arrived, got in and got out. Dave Coyle 26, Craig Lesiak 33 & James Lee 27, but no one went one to make a bigger score and the chances of a 200+ score receded. Nevertheless, E C & B took tea at 197 for 7, a respectable score.

A classic EAG steady accumulation followed on the resumption. Although behind the rate the home side lost few wickets and at the mid stage the game could probably have gone either way. But the EAG batters were unable to provide the required acceleration and began to lose wickets regularly with Dave Coyle and Craig Lesiak being impressively economical, the former bagging 4 wickets for the second game in a row. Ultimately, a comfortable E C & B victory.

Scorers - Debra and Danny Coyle (the latter taking a break from his umpiring duties in view of the favourable proximity of the scorebox to the gentlemen's lavatory!).
