Don't forget our other watering hole in Bures - The Eight Bells. Sadly, I don't think they have a web site. Bures Music Festival (formerly Jazz By The Stour) A major event of many musical styles held annually in a large marquee. An event which grows in stature and size every year, staffed on a voluntary basis. A major contributor to local charities and organisations, the cricket club included.

North Essex Cricket League Colchester-based PDQ Cars are the sponsors of the North Essex Cricket League. Local league tables, match results and other information is available on this site. The combined Earls Colne & Bures side plays in division 2 of this league. Earls Colne Cricket Club A local rival, Earls Colne Cricket Club, with whom we combined to form a league side playing in the local PDQ North Essex Cricket League from 2003 to 2010. Earls Colne has a side in division 5 of the Two Counties League and also youth cricket facilities.
